I have worked out at the gym a couple of years to get myself in shape, and I worked hard. But now there are all sorts of steroids for sale that do that without the effort. At first I was kind of upset that I had to work that hard but at least I don't have to worry about any side effects.

The Venice Beach area is great if you are a bodybuilding fan. We stayed at the Cadillac Hotel which is on the beach/boardwalk and walking distance to all the popular bodybuilding sites. It is about two blocks from the famous Firehouse Restaurant, three blocks from Max Muscle Venice, and four blocks from the Mecca - Gold's Gym Venice, and "Muscle Beach" is not much farther.

No, I had a couple extra days in Los Angeles and chose to spend it at Venice Beach!

I've definitely heard of the famous Firehouse and enjoyed tales of Gold's Gym Venice all through my teen years courtesy of Muscle Builder Power magazine and then Muscle & Fitness. Never heard of the Cadillac Hotel until now. Sounds like the perfect location. I seem to recall a bodybuilder Bucci, Joe Bucci? Thought he had a bed and breakfast in that area years ago. Great pic of "Big Louie!" :)
